We are seeking an experienced Geologist with a strong background in mining operations to join our team in Gujani, Kaduna.
The successful candidate will play a key role in geological exploration, resource evaluation, and supporting mining activities to ensure efficient and sustainable extraction of mineral resources.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct geological surveys, mapping, and sampling to identify mineral deposits.
Analyze geological data to evaluate ore reserves and mining potential.
Supervise drilling, blasting, and sampling operations to ensure accuracy and safety.
Prepare detailed geological reports, maps, and models for resource estimation.
Collaborate with mining engineers and environmental teams to optimize extraction processes.
Monitor mine development and provide technical guidance on geological aspects.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Utilize modern geological software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Mining Geology, or related field.
5–10 years of professional experience in mining geology.
Strong knowledge of mineral exploration techniques and resource evaluation.
Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Surpac, Datamine, GIS tools).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with Nigerian mining regulations and environmental standards is an advantage.
