Job Description

  • The Academy Coordinator & Specification Engineer will be responsible for managing and leading the development and delivery of a range of learning and development activities in relation to product knowledge and various applications of Sika solutions for internal users and external parties.
  • He/she will ensure that Sika products and systems are specified by designers, detailers architects to maximize Sika’s profit, sales and opportunities.

General Responsibilities

  • Design, coordinate, and deliver training programs, workshops, and seminars tailored to the needs of the teams and clients.
  • Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry
  • Responsible for identifying upcoming and ongoing projects, identify construction chemicals performance product requirements of the entire project, develop Sika solutions opportunity in such projects, preparing detailed technical specifications for Sika products.
  • To provide pre and post sales technical advice and support related to products.
  • To introduce new products and concepts to Internal: Sales Engineers, and External: consultants, Project Managers, main Contractors, Sub-contractors and client bodies as may be directed by the Vertical Market managers.
  • Other related duties or responsibilities as may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • HND / BSc in Engineering / Environmental Sciences or related fiels
  • 5+ years working experience in related field
  • Professional Certification (COREN etc)
  • Hands on experience of the construction industry and built-up environment.
