Educational & Professional Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
- Oracle SQL, ITIL Foundation, or related certifications are an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of the Flexcube application will be an added advantage.
Key Skills & Competencies
- 3–5 years of experience in card processing infrastructure, payment systems, or IT
- operations in banking/fintech.
- Experience with payment switches, card management systems, EFT systems, or transaction processing and settlement.
- Strong knowledge of payment network standards (ISO 8583, ISO20022, EMV, PCIDSS).
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Card Management Systems, payment switches, HSMs (Hardware Security Modules), FEPs, and related infrastructure.
- Participate in system integration projects with core banking platforms, third-party processors, and payment networks (Visa, MasterCard, Verve, UPSL, etc.).
- Support the rollout of new card products, features, and enhancements.
- Managing new Card initiatives, Alternate channels and Acquiring business projects
- Monitor performance, availability, and capacity of card processing platforms to ensure 24/7 uptime.
- Provide second-level technical support for card-related issues, escalating to vendors or scheme partners when required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to card transactions, authorizations, and settlement.
- Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, ISO standards, and card scheme requirements.
- Manage encryption keys, HSM operations, and other security components related to card processing.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to monitor threats and mitigate risks.
- Work with vendors, payment processors, and card scheme partners during implementation, upgrades, and problem resolution.
- Coordinate with internal operations, product, and risk teams to align technology solutions with business objectives.
- Maintain accurate system documentation, technical configurations, and support logs.
- Experience in applications testing
- Prepare periodic reports on system performance, incidents, and improvements.
- Provide technical input for audits, compliance reviews, and capacity planning.
- Generate daily report of transaction trends, validate transaction postings, and proactively identify patterns that create leads for value capture for the business.
- Perform core configuration, parameterization, and deployment of approved changes.
- Support integration between the card switching infrastructure and other channels (Internet Banking, Mobile, USSD, Payment Switch, etc.).
- Document root-cause analyses, maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), and generate performance reports.
