Our client in the food and hospitality industry is hiring a skilled and disciplined Senior Cook to join a fast-paced hospitality kitchen in Abuja. This role is for a culinary professional who takes pride in execution, consistency, and leadership in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality meals with strong attention to taste, portioning, and plating
- Ensure timely delivery of orders during service periods while maintaining quality standards
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including prep planning and station coordination
- Lead, support, and mentor junior kitchen staff to improve performance and consistency
- Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards in line with best practices
- Monitor ingredient freshness, minimize waste, and support inventory control
- Contribute to menu improvement and kitchen process efficiency where needed
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional cooking experience, including a supervisory or senior role
- Strong knowledge of kitchen workflow, food preparation, and presentation standards
- Proven ability to lead under pressure in a restaurant or café environment
- High discipline around cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
