Summary

  • The Assistant Operations Manager will support end-to-end operational delivery of generator installation, maintenance, and repair services.
  • This role partners closely with the Operations Manager to drive service excellence, optimize field operations, manage resources, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations across generator servicing, installations, overhauls, and emergency call-outs.
  • Coordinate field technicians, schedules, tools, and spare parts to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor service turnaround times and proactively address operational bottlenecks.
  • Enforce HSE policies and ensure strict compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve escalations and maintain strong service relationships.
  • Track job cards, service reports, fuel usage, and maintenance records for accuracy and accountability.
  • Assist with inventory management, including spare parts forecasting and stock control.
  • Support cost control initiatives and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Provide input into workforce planning, training needs, and performance monitoring of technicians.
  • Prepare operational reports and KPIs for management review.

Requirements

  • HND / BSc in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of diesel and gas generators (installation, maintenance, troubleshooting).
  • 8–10 years’ experience in generator services, power solutions.
