JOB SUMMARY
- The B77 Engineer is responsible for performing inspections and certify maintenance work carried out on company/third party aircraft in line with regulatory requirements and company standards to uphold high safety standards and scheduling integrity.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assign and carry out inspections, repair, replacement and modification tasks on aircraft and aircraft systems.
- Weekly planning of resources (manpower, materials, and tooling).
- Allocation and supervision of tasks and activities for team of Technicians.
- Trouble shooting of multiple systems in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Make decision on optimum material and resource usage, task allocation, quality, and maintenance deviations in line with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with internal/external customers on progress status of the aircraft, required parts and serviceability of aircrafts.
- Ensure tasks are performed to meet company standards and targets.
- Review work procedures and standards and propose improvements to procedures to ensure effectiveness.
- Identify and make requisition of the required aircraft parts and Tools.
- Report incidents / accident occurrences as per company procedures
- Ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded accurately & signed for to maintain correct & up to date aircraft history /data.
- Adhere to the company safety, health, and environmental policy.
- Supervise and Develop Technicians for improved competency/ efficiency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline
- Mechanical/ Electrical/AeronauticaI/Instrumentation).
- EASA type training on the B777 with Trent 800 and GE Engine options.
- At least 5 years aircraft maintenance certifying experience on the 8777 fleet.
- EASA/ICAO type II Basic License (Bl or B2) with B777 Endorsement.
- In-depth knowledge on aircraft systems
- In-depth knowledge of Aviation Legislation/Regulations
- Proficiency in computer applications and MRO system
- Ability to interpret technical data.
- Inspection and troubleshooting techniques.
