Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Civil Engineer / Civil Engineering Manager to lead and manage all civil engineering activities across our projects.
- This role is critical to ensuring that all civil works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in compliance with engineering standards and client requirements.
- The successful candidate will oversee civil engineering design, site execution, subcontractors and technical coordination with other engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution and supervision of all civil and structural works on projects.
- Review and approve civil and structural designs, drawings, calculations and specifications.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, process and instrumentation teams to ensure proper integration of civil works.
- Supervise site activities including earthworks, foundations, concrete works, drainage, buildings and structural installations.
- Ensure all civil works meet quality, safety, regulatory and client standards.
- Manage civil subcontractors, suppliers and site engineers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Monitor project progress, resolve site challenges and prevent delays.
- Support cost control, BOQs, variations and procurement for civil works.
- Prepare technical reports, site progress reports and documentation.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to the civil engineering team.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–4 years’ post-qualification experience in civil engineering, preferably within an EPC or construction environment.
- Strong experience in site supervision, foundations, concrete works and structural construction.
- Ability to read, interpret and review engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
- Knowledge of Nigerian building codes, construction standards and HSE requirements.
- Professional certification (COREN or NSE) is an added advantage.
