Job Summary
- The Maintenance/Utility Operator is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance tasks, as well as managing utility systems within the syringe manufacturing facility.
- This role involves ensuring that all equipment and utility systems are operating efficiently and reliably, and addressing any issues that arise to minimize production downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with equipment and systems.
- Replace or repair defective parts, components, and systems as needed.
Utility Management:
- Monitor and manage utility systems, including water, air, gas, and HVAC systems, to ensure their optimal operation.
- Perform regular checks and maintenance on utility infrastructure to prevent disruptions in production.
- Coordinate with utility providers for any necessary repairs or upgrades.
Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, or utility failures to minimize production downtime.
- Assess and address emergency situations effectively and safely, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
- Prepare and submit maintenance reports detailing work performed, equipment status, and any issues encountered.
- Update maintenance logs and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures when performing maintenance tasks.
- Ensure that maintenance activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and utility management practices.
- Participate in training programs and stay current with advancements in maintenance technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to implement process improvements and support production goals.
Inventory and Supplies:
- Manage and track inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts.
- Order and replenish supplies as needed, coordinating with suppliers and vendors for procurement.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with production staff and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize production disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members regarding maintenance status, issues, and solutions.
