About the Role
- ACO Nigeria is seeking a highly driven Business Development Representative to support the growth of our solar EPC, PV, and Energy Storage portfolio in Nigeria.
- This role plays a strategic part in managing REA (Rural Electrification Agency) accounts, driving solar project sales, developing strong industry partnerships, and ensuring structured reporting and market intelligence.
- The ideal candidate must be experienced in solar business development, tender management, and stakeholder engagement within the Nigerian renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
REA & Government Account Management:
- Identify and map key REA stakeholders, decision-makers, procurement officers, developers, and partners
- Monitor REA tender publications and ensure timely submission of compliant bids
- Track submitted tenders and manage follow-ups through award stage
- Develop structured project investment and feasibility reports
- Provide intelligence on funding streams, grants, and developer financing models
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships across REA departments
Business Development & Sales:
- Identify and engage major developers, international organizations, and C&I customers
- Generate qualified leads and convert opportunities into solar EPC, PV, and energy storage sales
- Promote ACO Nigeria’s solar solutions and maintain active client engagement
- Build long-term partnerships and strategic alliances
- Drive MW-scale sales growth across EPC and storage projects
Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Prepare detailed BD activity reports (daily/weekly)
- Maintain comprehensive customer and developer databases
- Submit lead tracking and opportunity pipeline reports
- Develop tender status and competition analysis reports
- Prepare REA intelligence updates (funding, awarded projects, decision-makers, workflow insights)
- Submit event calendars and networking action plans
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related discipline
- Proven experience in solar EPC business development or REA-related projects
- Strong understanding of Nigeria’s renewable energy and C&I solar market
- Experience handling government tenders and large-scale solar proposals
- Strong negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent analytical and reporting capability
