We're seeking a Finance Associate to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team, where you'll play a key role in driving financial excellence and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support business operations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain general ledger accounts and perform reconciliations
- Support budgeting and financial planning activities
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian accounting standards, IFRS, and regulatory requirements (including FIRS tax regulations)
- Manage statutory filings and liaise with regulatory bodies such as CAC, FIRS, and external auditors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (minimum Second Class Upper)
- ACA, ACCA, or ICAN qualification preferred or Part-Qualified (at least intermediate level)
- 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong understanding of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or similar) and advanced MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
