Job Summary
- The Poultry Farm Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a poultry farm to ensure efficient production, animal welfare, biosecurity, and compliance with health and safety standards.
- This role involves managing staff, monitoring flock health, optimizing productivity, and maintaining farm equipment and records.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily poultry farm operations
- Manage feeding, watering, housing, and overall care of poultry
- Monitor flock health and coordinate with veterinarians when needed
- Implement and enforce biosecurity and animal welfare practices
- Maintain accurate production, health, and inventory records
- Supervise, train, and schedule farm workers
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, health standards, and safety policies
- Manage budgets, control costs, and order supplies (feed, medication, equipment)
- Oversee egg or meat production, collection, storage, and quality control
- Maintain farm equipment and facilities, arranging repairs as necessary.
