Job Summary

  • The ideal candidate will inspire students through hands-on learning, technical skill development, and creative design thinking.
  • You will be responsible for delivering the Nigerian curriculum effectively, preparing students for WAEC/NECO examinations, and fostering a culture of safety and innovation in our well-equipped workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons inBasic Technology(tools, materials, energy, electronics, building tech, etc.) andTechnical Drawing(geometric construction, orthographic projection, isometric drawing, and introductory CAD).
  • Conduct practical workshop sessions with strict adherence tohealth and safety standards.
  • Develop instructional aids, models, and real-life project-based learning activities.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress through tests, projects, and examinations.
  • Prepare students forWAEC, NECO, and BECEexaminations in both subjects.
  • Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Participate in school events, staff meetings, and continuous professional development.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: B.Ed. (Technical Education), B.Eng. (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil), B.Tech. (Industrial Tech), or related discipline. PGDE is an advantage.
  • Certification: TRCN certification is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3yearsteaching Basic Technology and Technical Drawing in a Nigerian secondary school.
  • Technical Competence: Proficiency in workshop tools, manual drafting, and basic CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or SketchUp).
  • Skills: Classroom management, creativity, patience, and a strong commitment to student safety.
