JOB SUMMARY:
- This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efficient operation and maintenance of physical spaces within an organization. It involves managing facility resources, ensuring a safe and functional environment, and implementing policies to optimize facility performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facility Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of facilities, including buildings, equipment, and grounds. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal functionality.
- Safety and Security: Implement and enforce safety and security protocols to protect personnel and property. Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards promptly.
- Space Planning: Coordinate and optimize the allocation of office space to meet organizational needs. Collaborate with relevant departments to plan for future space requirements.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with external service providers and vendors for facility-related services. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure cost-effective and high-quality services.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the facility budget, ensuring efficient use of resources. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local regulations and building codes. Keep abreast of industry standards and best practices in facility management.
- Environmental Sustainability: Implement environmentally sustainable practices within the facility. Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and waste reduction.
- Fulfilling Other Responsibilities as Delegated or Assigned: Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Facility Management.
- Proven experience in facility management or a related role.
- Knowledge of facility operations, maintenance, and best practices.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols.
