Manages the accounting process, analyses financial information and prepares financial reports. Will be responsible for budget/business plan and other financial activities within the company
Responsibilities
Prepares & monitors monthly, the Income statement, Trial Balance, and cash flow statement.
Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer, Group Finance, and Internal Audit to ensure consistent and regulatory-compliant financial practices throughout, in order to achieve efficient and effective financial reporting and internal controls;
Develop strong lines of communication and coordination with Group Office in order to facilitate the accurate and timely transfer and dissemination of both financial and management information;
Ensure timely planning and preparation of budgets in line with planning agreed with the group
Prepares monthly management financial reporting package and executive summary schedules.
Reviews the financial statements of the company’s annual report and ensures compliance with IFRS.
Ensures proper accounting allocation for audit review.
Prepares ad-hoc reports for different purposes/projects.
Ensures application of accounting principles, in the maintenance of internal controls.
Answers the internal and external auditors on any accounting transactions.
Coordinates and facilitates the process of documenting accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree - Finance, Accounting
Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Comprehensive knowledge of laws and administrative policies governing various financial practices
An accounting Professional qualification is an added advantage
Comprehensive knowledge of fund accounting. Auditing and reporting requirements.
